Shop Fabrication

Over the years, VM Systems has made substantial investments

in top-notch duct fabrication equipment.

With the addition of a full duct coil line, our company fully

automated the duct fabrication process.

Our 10-foot by 5-foot dual plasma table enables our technicians

to blank out fittings and specialty pieces with up to one-inch-thick plate steel.

A lot of people believe most sheet metal shops are limited to

making ductwork, with an occasional heavy gauge fitting if they happen

to have a welding machine.

When VM Systems decided to start a fabrication division, the company knew

it would need the kind of industrial-type forming machines that you normally

don't see in most sheet metal shops.

Equally important are the tradesman hired to complete the fabricating and

assembling of these specialty items.

Today if a potential client inquires about fabricating something out of the ordinary,

we send them to what we affectionately call the "weird department."

Working alongside our industrial division, the fabrication shop is capable of doing all of the following:

• Custom stairs
• Custom countertops
• Handicap bathtubs
• Standard ladders with and without safety cages
• Water tanks
• Platforms
• Acid/chroming tanks
• Ice cream molds
• Specialty conveyors
• Conveyor shrouds
• Food grade carts and chutes
• Drying ovens
• Bread ovens • Concrete forms
• Flashings
• Fireplace doors
• Elevator doors
• Compound offsets
• Drip pans
• Parts baskets
• Part holders
• Trench drains
• Specialty machine guards
• Fume hoods
• Parts washers and dryers

Each year, VM Systems fabricates 190 tons of straight ductwork using the coil line, and 220 tons of fittings

using the plasma table. Some of our duct fabrication projects include stadiums, restaurants, hospitals,

student housing and large office buildings. At VM Systems, we believe that if it's made of metal, we can build it!
